Black Cat, Itiotarod, Pleasure Place...sounds like the makings of a good weekend

So much to say about the weekend that it might run into another post...not sure yet. here is part of the weekend for now.

Friday night I went with Marie and a few others to the Black Cat to see the thermals which was an awesome show. The funny thing is that there was this one kid that pissed everyone off by trying to start mosh pits when noone wanted to mosh. So the guys we went with built a physical wall around me and marie to protect us and bounce off the guy...untill enough was enough and one of them just BAM elbowed the guy in the face, forcing him to leave the mosh pit thus leaving the rest of us in peace. That is not the first time some guy has physically injured another person at the black cat on my behalf....dangerous place you know.

Beautiful sat Leslie and I put on our walking shoes, got out our cameras and set out to see the city. Our first stop was the idiotarod. earlier in the week this was our only plan for the day but the beautiful weather convinced us to stay outside the whole day. At the idiotarod strangers were coming up to us right and left asking us what was going on...our favorite (i think leslie might submit this to overheard dc) was some guys getting off the metro at 2pm in dupont circle

Guy1: wow, what is this, must be some sort of cultural thing
Guy2: I wish I werent so drunk

Our venture in the city ended us at the pleasure place...of course. We were looking at their "game" section and leslie picked up one of the card games. She read aloud "15 truth or dare cards, 1 die...." It wasnt till she read it aloud that she realized it wasnt a fatalistic game with a death card...Talk about death by sexy!
