well I dont know...is it?
As many of you know I recently bought my car. Check cleared right away with no problems, yet it wasn't until this week that the car officially and legally is ready for the road. After TWO temporary tags and COUNTLESS calls to VW, VW Credit, and the DMV all four of us are finally in agreement that nothing is VW's, everything is under my name, and i'm all paid up with VW and the Commonwealth of Virginia...Yes folks, that means that FINALLY the safran tags are back on!
What I've learned from this is that people at vw within the store and within the entire company don't talk to each other, and its up to me to call each one of them individually. Also the DMV does not know how to use the postal service appropriately, so if your registration expires...say Feb 28th, dealing with the paperwork online on Feb 8th does not give them enough time to send it to you even if they claim its 5 day delivery.
Well I think I'm finally all set
Safran Tags --- Check
Feb 08 stickers and registration --- Check
Arlington county stickers --- Check
Passenger side front hubcap..........what? someone stole it while I was at work. That's right, the vehicle is finally mine and NOW people steal stuff from it. WTF!

I used to watch this lady (I use the word loosely) comedienne and one of her best jokes was this (paraphrased):
You know Alanis has this Ironic song, about black flies in your chardonay, and rain on your wedding day... And none of it is ironic. I mean, she says, "Isn't it ironic? Don't you think?" Anyway, I thought that was funny then and seeing your title called it to mind. I still think it's funny.
Long story short, I'm glad your car is yours and I reccomend stealing one of Jessa J's hubcaps.
I agree with charlotte, i'm not really sure there's irony here.
You should get some of those spinner hubcaps as replacements. Can't let the terrorists win.
