The Wrong Night For The Red Sox

Peter and I went to Last night's redsox game at camden yards. Coincidentally chris sat a few sections away so that was cool. Other than that the game blew.

When I walked in orioles fans started yelling at me to go home. I ignored them. When we got to our seats there were more of the same. They were loud and obnoxious. Worse than that, the worst and stupidist redsox fans were sitting directly behind us. The old lady had never seen sunblock in her life, and the man wished he were a sports commentator so he tried to report the entire game, but didnt know what he was talking about. THEN two innings into the game they decided that although they were redsox fans they wanted the sox to either loose or the game to get rained out so they could go home. They sucked.

We lost, but coco made a nice over the wall play (didnt catch it though)

Oh well. Guess i'll have to wait for the sox to come back again

Love That Dirty Water

As you know I got to go to a Red Sox game at Fenway park on sunday. We started off trailing by 5, but picked up and ended up winning! It was a lot of fun!

Some highlights in my mind were

1. Jacoby "the flash" Ellsburry and Julio "please get rid of him" Lugo had a simultaneous double steal. Jacoby 1st to 2nd and Julio 2nd to 3rd. I dont think i've seen a double steal before! I guess Julio isnt totally worthless all the time (just most of it)

2. Manny "dont mess with me" Ramirez Got ejected from the game almost immediately. I was suprised how casual it all went. Manny got a called 3rd strike (should have been a ball) he argued, ump ejected him and he calmly walked off.

3. David "big papi" Ortiz (i couldnt change that nickname) ran...a lot. He got himself a single and beat out the throw, and then ran from 1st to home to score a run! And he really got moving. Once the momentum was there you cant stop him!

4. Jed "where did i come from" Lowery scored TWO runs in his 5th major league game ever. I think he'll be a good edition to the team

HAPPY PATRIOTS DAY!!!!

World Series

Did anyone else watch the game last night?

John Williams arranged and conducted the National Anthem. That was super cool, and I was beyond jealous that my dad got to see him live!

Then I got giddy. My boys that I've watched all season, my team that i've watched all my life, is in the world series. THE WORLD SERIES. I'm just excited they are there.

I realize we were there three years ago. And that was AMAZING, but this time is almost as exciting.

I heart Josh, Manny, Eric, Jon, Javier, Hideki, Daisuke, Johnathan, Curt, Kyle, Mike, Doug, Tek, Alex, Eric, Mike, Julio (sometimes), Dustin, Yooouk, Coco, J.D., Jacoby, Bobby, Manny, and Big Papi

13 to 1...Nice start boys, keep it up.

Red Sox and A note about the next few days (not including weekend)

Last night Chris and I went to my first Redsox game of the season. We went to camden to see them play the orioles. Sox won which was fun, but It was rainy and cold so I was pretty miserable by the end of the game, and when 'tek struck out (again) in the last inning I wasnt upset in the least. Also I think I might have redsox on the brain a bit too much, I guess I may have had a redsox dream b/c this morning when I woke up (before my alarm) the first thing I thought was "oh Beckett pitches today"--no joke! and he really does pitch today. I think he might be the next shirt I get. (i get to go to fenway in may! yay!)

Ok I just wanted to put a disclaimer out there that over the next few days I *might* not be blogging much, but dont lose hope, I will be back. Friday I am taking off to kick off our white water rafting weekend in the good ole west virginia, and then mon-wed I am in some crazy testing over at goddard, i might be back for the second half of each day though if the tests go well, so i might post some blogs---we'll see how that goes.

OH and watch for me being the new princess of England b/c next week while I'm testing stuff the Queen is going to be visiting Goddard. Cool huh? So i'm hoping I catch her eye and she brings me back to William.

I love that Dirty Water

I've always been the one to claim "home is where your stuff is" but I must say I've come to learn that Boston, you're my home...because truly "home is where your heart is"...and my heart is with the Boston Red Sox. If you've ever had a conversation with me, or seen my apt, or gone to the beach with me (when i actually wear hats)--then it wont come as a surprise to you that I love my boys.

I couldnt be more excited for this season! I've also bought into the hype and cannot wait to see Daisuke pitch...not just on tv, but I am going to do my best to time it so I can go to a game where he is pitching.

I have a redsox fact a day calendar at my desk, but so far its all been like 1916 trivia that none of you people will be interested in, maybe later in the year when we get up to current times i'll start adding it to my blog.

You might notice my new link to Curt Schilling's blog on the right hand side. I stumbled accross this and was really touched by how nice a guy he is. There is a little boy with a rare type of cancer, and every time he goes in for chemo Curt gives him a call, and is having Rebok embroider 4 pete's sake onto his shoe to give the boy (pete) a little help getting through it. That was just one example of his generosity. Take a look at his page, and be impressed. (more impressed by his actions than his pitching on monday....)

Also I need new redsox appareil this year, but I dont know what to get since I have the curse of the shirts...I have nomar's, and damon's...Although last year I did get varitek's shirt so that was good!

lastly i've posted new pictures (www.angelfire.com/theforce/res)
